Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season 3 is live now

Now that Season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is here, there is plenty of new content coming to the game. There are even rumors that the new season could be adding fan favorite modes back to the series, including prop hunt which was first introduced in Black Ops 3.

The season 3 patch for Modern Warfare rolled out for all players yesterday, and it was quite the patch for players to download. One of the more appealing bits of cosmetic content that came along with the patch was a brand new skin that gives fan favorite operator Ghost a more classic look.

The skin in question looks to take Ghost back to a more classic appearance from the games the character originated from. While Ghost was confirmed to return during season 2, some fans were somewhat disappointed with the updated look Infinity Ward gave him in the remake. However, this new skin seems to harken back to his original appearance in Modern Warfare 2 complete with his trademark sunglasses and a flatter skull mask. Unfortunately, this skin does not seem to be in the game yet, as it can only be seen through the press images that Activision has distributed. While the season 3 patch notes have been released to the general public, there seems to be no explicit mention of this skin yet. The skin is undoubtedly going to be released sooner or later, but when that is exactly is unclear at the moment.

As for multiplayer, Modern Warfare season 3 adds three new 6v6 maps to Call of Duty’s traditional PvP (Talsik Backlot, Hovec Sawmill, and Aniyah Incursion) alongside two additional weapons available to unlock in player’s arsenal – semi-auto pistol the Renetti, and a lightweight carbine called the SKS.

Finally, a new operator has also arrived to Modern Warfare season 3 in the form of Alex, who players of the game’s main campaign will likely be familiar with. It turns out that this solider didn’t die as the story suggested, and is back in action as part of the Coalition’s deep Operator pool, ready to be unlocked.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons update lowers egg spawn rates

The latest New Horizons update 1.1.4 addresses fan complaints about the ongoing Bunny Day event that has taken over players’ islands.According to Nintendo’s Japanese site, the patch lowers the drop rates for some of the collectible eggs used for Bunny Day, including the water egg, which replaces fish in the river and ocean. While this will make it more difficult to craft the egg-themed furniture that is exclusive to the April event, the nerfed egg spawns are temporary.

On Bunny Day proper, which falls on Easter Sunday, April 12, the egg drop rates will rise significantly. This will make it easier for players to finish off their collection of crafted furniture to show to Zipper T. Bunny, the mysterious host of the Easter-themed event. This compromise should please Animal Crossing fans who have been critical of the event for making it difficult to catch fish and mine minerals over the 12-day event period.

For a game that was only a few weeks old and was generating a ton of positive buzz, Animal Crossing: New Horizons began to frustrate its fans who are more focused on completing all the tasks the game has to offer, not just the Bunny Day ones. Many of the most dedicated Animal Crossing: New Horizons players had already done everything that Zipper asked and wanted to focus on making bells or collecting new species for Blathers’ museum, but instead eggs continued to take over. Most players were in agreement that Bunny Day is a fun event, but the eggs were getting a little too overbearing. Now, this patch should lower the odds of eggs appearing in place of rare fish like the Neon Tetra, fossils, or presents flying through the air.

If you want to gather lots of eggs to craft the special items, however, you’ll have to focus your efforts on the final day of the event on April 12th, when the patch notes say it’ll be over-easy to collect them. Sorry for all the egg puns, I love a good yolk. It’s reassuring to see Nintendo take such a proactive approach to patching its latest game. Polygon notes that this is the fourth patch it’s issued for Animal Crossing in two weeks, and that most of the game’s early complaints are being dealt with quickly. Here’s to hoping Nintendo keeps it up as players proceed through the game’s content throughout the rest of the year.

How to time travel in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons shares the same core gameplay as the rest of the series, but its transition to the Nintendo Switch brings with it a swath of different online components. One of these may effectively eliminate the ability to time travel to holidays, which was one of the more popular ways to cheat in past Animal Crossing games.

Nintendo announced seasonal events will now be part of free updates during the big Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct. By keeping events locked to free downloadable updates, you likely won’t be able to change your Switch system’s time to experience Christmas, and all the cool gifts, while in the middle of (real world) spring. So, in theory, while you might be able to tweak your Switch system clock to time travel to December 25, 2020, the Christmas event won’t be happening until Nintendo releases the update. Nintendo said the first of these updates is available at launch and will add an April event, Bunny Day, to New Horizons.

There is a way around this, however – you can time travel, but it comes at a cost. Time Travel isn’t built into Animal Crossing New Horizons – it requires manipulating the game and technically counts as cheating. No TARDIS or DeLorean required. Using time travel will speed up certain things – so it means you’ll be able to build new buildings and infrastructure faster, sell turnips more often, harvest fruit to make lots of cash more frequently and even do things like help out Gulliver and rescue Wisp more often, as that’d strictly be once a day – and not every day at that. Even things like your Nook Miles rewards, many of which are delivered the next day, will of course arrive sooner with time travel.

You time travel in Animal Crossing New Horizons by closing the software and proceeding to the Nintendo Switch’s System Settings.Once you’re in the Settings, scroll down to System and advance to Date and Time.If you want to time travel into the future, all you need to do is change the date and time to a specific month, year, and/or time before reality.Meanwhile, if you want to time travel into the past, you just do the exact same but prior to reality’s current date and time.

What is an N95 respirator mask?

Gov. Tim Walz says, for now, Minnesota’s health care workers have enough N95 respirator masks and other personal protective equipment to deal with patients with COVID-19. But he says they would be short of protective equipment if steps hadn’t been taken to slow the spread.Medical personnel in Minnesota and across the country have reported critical shortages of N95 masks, a standard piece of equipment when interacting with infectious patients.

An N95 respirator mask meets federal standards for protecting the wearer from inhaling hazardous airborne particles, including bacteria and viruses. These respirator masks filter out at least 95 percent particles three-tenths of a micrometer in size.

It’s important that the masks fit tightly. Medical personnel are tested to make sure they know how to fit them so that they leak less than 1 percent, enabling almost all of the air the wearer breathes to pass through the mask’s filter. Many other face masks, including surgical face masks, are loose-fitting and offer only barrier protection against droplets and large respiratory particles. Those masks can prevent contamination of the surrounding area when the wearer coughs or sneezes.

But the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says most surgical face masks do not effectively filter small particles from the air and do not prevent leakage around the edge of the mask when the user inhales.

N95 masks meant for industrial uses are not made to the standards of medical-grade N95 masks but they do offer protection against disease.According to 3M’s website, N95 surgical-grade respirators are typically designed to resist the splash and splatter of blood and other bodily fluids. Surgical respirators do not have exhalation valves or those valves are shrouded.
